2021BY-LAWS of the Retirement Village Residents Association NSW Inc. (hereafter “Association” or “RVRA”) These By-laws were approved by the Board in June 2021. Note: By-laws cover the day-to-day operation of the Association and must conform to theaims and intent of the Constitution of the RVRA.Where an apparent inconsistency occurs, the Constitution overrides these By-Laws. By-Law 1-Membership 1 (1)Pursuant to3 (1b)of the Constitution:Perpetual-Joint Membership and Perpetual-SingleMembershipare not currently available. 1 (2)Pursuant to 3 (1b) of the Constitution: Joint members shall receive only one copy of any material that is published or issued from time to time, by the Association. 1 (3)Pursuant to3 (2)of the Constitution:As soon as practicable after receiving an application for membership,a copy of the most recent newsletter should be sent to the applicant andthe Secretary must refer the application to the Board, which is to determine whether to approve or toreject the application By-Law2–Election of the Board 2 (1) The election of office-bearers andBoardMembers will be conducted by aReturningOfficer appointed for the purpose by the AGM 2 (2) The Returning Officer should be aMember of the Association who is not a candidate for any position on the Board. By-Law3–The Board 3(1)Board members are to be informed of the absence of the President in advance or as soon as possible in the event of unplanned absences. 3(2)Any of the Office-bearers may authorise a.external correspondence on behalf of the Association, including ordinary mail, emails and any form of electronic correspondence b.any member of the Board to respond to queries and comments from members of the association
